The era of drawn is going to end one way or another. I think it's especially kind of with these kind of now increasingly kind of non peer to peer use cases. I think you just have kind of a very, very large universe of of of use cases that, like, Tron just isn't built for. Nothing

Today, I am joined by Paul from Plasma and Zahir, founder of Split Capital. Thanks for coming on, guys. Thanks
for thanks for having us. Likewise. Yeah.
I guess before we get started, do you guys wanna give a short introduction? So here, maybe we can start with you and Split Capital, and then we can dive into plasma more deeply.
Well, yeah. So I've been the founder of Split Capital now. It's a hedge fund in the digital asset space. It kinda focuses across across, themes and sectors, and, you know, mostly focuses on discretionary, investment strategies. And, you know, I've been in the space now for about seven, eight year eight years now. It's kind of crazy to say that out loud. Focusing, you know, from DeFi to, you know, more of the philosophical arguments for crypto. I actually met Paul a few years ago, and it's kind of the connection and, you know, the introduction to to to plasma. So
Cool. Yeah. I I used to work at Deribet way way back in the day. I'm kind of involved on the on the Deribet research, side of things, which is how I met z, initially now. I think that was probably, I don't know, five years ago now or something. I used to play poker way way back in the day, and and that's kind of how I got into into crypto, somewhat early on. Then very active on chain kind of went through really kind of the kind of early genesis period of of of DeFi, was was pretty active in in in that, kind of across the the the the spectrum there. Then built a company on the institutional sid
And, I guess, what was the idea behind plasma? Why did you guy why did you decide on, building out a new stable coin, chain? I
think you have this very unique combination of kind of the the most massive, most kind of clear TAM market, or just stable coins, and then infrastructure that, like, just kind of in in a path dependent way kind of ended up being the the the standard infrastructure, but isn't actually kind of the the the optimal solution for this. And so I think this very much comes from, like, a a a thought process being like, what do we think Stablecoin kind of rails and then Stablecoin settlement on chain? Like like, what does that look like in a year or two or three? And I think it's going to look vastly di
That makes sense. Zahir, I kinda wanna pull you in here because you have well, this part is gonna be kinda unique because we have both the technical side, the founder side, as well as we have an investor in the protocol. So what, pulled you into plasma? Why why did you say this is a good opportunity and I wanna I wanna be part of it?
