Thought Split Capital had a fantastic take on this, earlier, which is, like, this is really like a byproduct of, like, Gary Gensler's regime that he tried to implement of, like, you know, saying come in and register with us. And they essentially put all the legitimate projects offshore. So it's like this really was a byproduct of essentially the industry being, like, choked out. Hey,

Today, I'm joined by Danny Danny and Ian from Kairos. Kairos? Kairos Research. Ian, do you wanna do you wanna give a gentle introduction of yourself and Kairos before we get started?
Yeah. Sure. I'll give a gentle introduction. So Kairos is, like, an independent research firm, mainly focused on liquid staking, resaking, kind of the spillover effects into the rest of DeFi. Just me and a cofounder, both used to work at Binance on The US Farm. Did listings there, worked on the staking product as well. But, yeah, we're all things crypto native. Thanks for having me on today.
Thank you for coming on, man. I guess, like, before we get started into I I think we'll likely do, like, a roundtable sell up. So before you before we get started into that, I wanna ask a bit about restaking and why you guys decided to get into that way back because now we know. I guess a better question is how has it been to because originally, you were very much positioned as restaking, and then since then, you've shifted into staking and liquid staking and all things. And, as a side note, like, obviously, you know a lot about everything, but I just always wanted to know, like, how you guys
Yeah. I wouldn't say we shifted away. I think it's just like we started our research there, and then we started writing about other things as well to kinda, like, show there's actually more, like, you know, breadth and depths to, like, the knowledge base. But the reason that we started with resaking is just because we saw it as, one of, like, the few kinda, like, breakthrough, deep dive primitives that's gonna be around for, like, the next decade. It's gonna take a while to actually kinda get going, but I think as inflation continues to, like, trend towards zero for a lot of these networks, li
makes sense. On that staking note and about how yields are getting compressed, I've actually so Celestia is also thinking about reducing inflation as well, and Hyper Liquid has, like, 2% API. So I I agree with you on that that at some point, you're gonna need extra yield on top to make it worth it. When do you I guess Daniel Smith just might be better for you. I don't know, Daniel, if you guys already covered SIMD. Dan Smith, how do you see that shaping out, a
