Justin, what is Lean Ethereum at the highest level?
Sure. So Lean Ethereum is the conviction that we can use this very powerful technology called Snarks, this magical cryptography to bring Ethereum to the next level, both in terms of performance and scale, but also in terms of security and decentralization. And I call the former beast mode and the latter, Fort Mode.
Wait. Okay. Beast mode and Fort Mode. So what's beast mode and what's Fort Mode?
Yeah. So part of beast mode is this vision of scaling the l one to one GigaGas per second. I call it the giga gas frontier or the giga gas era, as well as dramatically increasing the the data availability so that we can do one teragas per second on the l two. So that's 10,000 TPS on the l one, ten million TPS on the l twos. And if you were to summarize this in one sentence, it's basically having enough throughput for all of finance.
And so beast mode is on the execution layer, I suppose, which will further define a little bit more. But that's where the the block space and the the gas transactions and all of that activity and smart contracts, all of that activity happens on the execution layer.
That's fine. Points, payments. Yeah.
Exactly. It also includes the data availability layer for the l twos, and that gives us, roughly speaking, a thousand x amplifier relative to what we can do with the l one.
Okay. And even the data availability layer for the l twos, what do the l twos do? Execution. So it's all about execution in beast mode. Okay. Fort mode. What is Fort mode?
Fort mode is about having totally uncompromising security. Best in class uptime, best in class decentralization, post quantum security, making sure that the MEV pipeline is cleanly decoupled from the validators, and also having best in class finality in a matter of seconds as opposed to what we have right now, which is in a matter of of of ten minutes ten to twenty minutes.
