I think probably by that time or, like, very, very, very likely by that time, you know, there would be more info support Lydo v 3. It is the the staking vaults, but it's also more than that. It's I think it's a very, very compelling and synergistic vision that turns Lido from basically just being staked ETH to this platform where anyone can create staking products on top of Lido infrastructure that also benefit from staked ETH liquidity and integrations. Hey,
everyone. This episode is brought to you by Uniswap Labs, who's launching the largest bug bounty program in the entire history of crypto. It's a $15,500,000 program. This is aiming to be the most rigorously reviewed code base ever deployed to Ethereum. So if you want more eligibility on the scope, rewards, payouts, etcetera, just click the link in the bottom of the show notes to tell them that I sent you. You'll be hearing all about Uniswap Labs later in the program. Hey, everyone. Quick disclaimer before we get into today's episode. Nothing said on Bell Curve is a recommendation to buy or sel
Hi, Mike. Doing very good. Thanks for having me. It's actually it's Christmas Eve. Right? So, very special episode. Yeah.
Look at us. So dedicated. Just not resting, giving the people giving the people the content they want even on Christmas Eve. Nice.
Recording from, our parents' houses, respectively. Very unusual. But Yeah.
Exactly. So neither so we're not on our so we've caveated this episode already going in. We're we're not on our usual game. We're at our parents' house, so, you know, lower your expectations here for the audience this Christmas Eve. But, actually, the I'm really looking forward to this episode because this is paving the way for another episode that you and I are gonna do in 1 or 2 months on Lido v 3, which I'm very interested to unpack the details there. But thought it would be good to just do a review of the liquid staking, ecosystem in Ethereum today and just do a review of Goose, and Goose
Yeah. So, the liquid staking ecosystem in Ethereum. So I would say that, I think things played out a little bit different than people expected. So I think, a couple years ago, there was this assumption that liquid staking was just a better form of staking in general, and it would be relatively smooth sailing from 0% market share a couple years ago to, you know, 60, 70, 80% until eventually all the stake would be liquefied. And I think you can see why many people, me included, were believing that because at the time, every every staking setup was basically looking the same. Right? So if you go
So if I had to sum everything up there, then, you know, rewinding the clock back up a couple of years, and I I wanna get your your take on what the temperature is around just Lido and staking centralization in general because I feel like at various times when Lido first launched, there was a very a a positive push, towards it because it was seen as Mhmm. A potential counter countervailing force to centralization from staking operators like Coinbase. Right? Right. It was this big concern that the, the exchanges were going to be just the largest, stakers on networks like Ethereum. And then, you
