We're building a new financial system from the ground up here. And, like, our ability to do things move the needle in the long term success of of the ecosystem as a whole. It was pretty clear to me that, like, where the, you know, Multi CoinJump and Galaxy combined via Forward Industries is the right, you know, set of people and the right vehicle to do that.
Although our guest this week is an investment partner of a registered investment adviser, nothing in this podcast should be considered an offer of MultiCoin's investment advisory services or should otherwise be confused for investment, tax, legal, or other financial advice. Nothing said on Empire is a recommendation to buy or sell any investments or products. Hey, Jason. Good morning. Thanks for jumping on on a Saturday.
You look you look refreshed and good for the lack of sleep that I'm assuming you're getting.
Thank you. I, I got actually pretty good sleep last night, and it's been it's been hectic. But, honestly, like, I've been having more fun now than I've had in in a while at work. So
Alright. So let's get into it. You guys just raised 1,600,000,000.0 for Ford Industries, which is the biggest salon in debt. You're doing it with, Jump and with Galaxy and, obviously, Multicoin, and and and you're kinda leading the helm. You put in 25,000,000 of your own capital. You guys raised incredibly quickly. I've heard you say, you or other people associated say, no. No. No. This isn't just another DAT. This isn't a regular DAT. Right? This isn't this isn't just another one of the 50 DATs. We've talked about DATs a little bit. I think Empire listeners are getting a little sick of the DA
Yeah. I appreciate the question, Jason. It's the most important one, and I tried to address this in my my blog post that I published earlier this week. Let me touch on this from a few angles. First is, like, what can this vehicle represent for, like what what can this vehicle do for Solana? And, like, you know, SSE Chair Atkins, just announced he gave a speech project crypto six weeks, seven weeks ago. And like he said, we're going to bring us securities markets on chain. We have a lot there. We've got sole yield. We've got running the business on chain. We've got, arbitraging credit rates. We've got moving all this capital on chain. Maybe tell me actually a little bit more about the the first thing that you said, which is, something I didn't think we were gonna talk about, but, like, running the business on chain. You said you're gonna do payroll. You're gonna do, governance votes. I mean, you you guys are a publicly listed company, so there's, like, I I think I I mean, I've never run a publicly listed company, but I would guess there's all these procedures th
I mean, look. To be clear, I I can't promise that those things will get done. But, like, when we say we want to be the most natively on chain publicly traded company in the world, those are the kinds of things we want to do. I don't believe any of them are impossible based on the conversations I've had with with folks in this area. Obviously, step one to doing any capital markets operations on chain is you have to tokenize your own equity. And, I I think that will get done pretty soon. I'm I'm pretty
