Everything's at its all time high. Inflation's not falling fast and they're cutting rates. The trend followers are 95% long. What does that say about everybody else that they're following? July was the first time in twenty five years of doing this that every little single thing that I looked at told me to sell. This is a time to at a minimum have cash on the sideline. This is the type of an environment in which you could have a pretty strong drawdown pretty quickly.

A little bit of the inmates running the asylum this week with Tyler and I as Felix is out this week. In his place is Brent Johnson, who'll be joining us. So it's probably ten years ago I was at work, and I got I I don't remember if I got was a text message or an email, and it was somebody saying, you know, hey. They they I don't know if they'd seen a presentation or something, but wanted to get together for coffee or something. So we got together, it was Tyler, and we're talking. And we're living in San Francisco, and he asked me where I lived in San Francisco. And I said, I live up on Knob Hill. And he said, oh, I live on Knob Hill. And he
And then I'll I'll take it one further. So so obviously, like, Brent was on, like, one of the very first episodes of Real Vision, and he was I forget, was talking about gold, the gold market back then. And it's now coming to fruition like ten years later. I was always a gold bug at the time and always interested in stores of value. And so I reached out to Brent cold and I was like, Hey, you're in San Francisco. And I grabbed a coffee with him and I think Brent's wife is like, You think that guy's gay? He's reaching out to you for a date? Single guy in San Francisco. It's a three kids. Yeah.
It's a good thing you didn't have that haircut at the time. He probably would've never called you back.
