for having me on. Yeah. You know, first of all, thanks to be on the the new show. You know, really happy to see what you've been doing with it. Yeah. My flip flop thesis is they're basically making it up as they go. You know, the metrics that they basically put out there that they're looking at, if they go the the opposite direction they like, they kind of ignore them. You know, they kind of point to other things. You know, they're unfortunately, they're making it up as we go. I think Wednesday was potentially a step in the right direction, although we'll see, you know, from there.
Yeah. I'm interested to hear everybody's thoughts on whether it was the right direction or the wrong direction. I feel like I'm still a bit more 5050. But, yeah, maybe maybe we'll start with you, Danny, just super quick on why you think it was the right direction, overall.
Yeah. Look. The fact is the inflation is sticky, and and it doesn't mean that we have a second wave on our hands. But first of all, growth is exceptionally strong. Right? GDP is tracking over 3% another quarter. We just got q three official, you know, updated revision. As of yesterday, it was 3.1. We're tracking over 3. So the economy is really strong. Okay? There are some concerns about the labor market that people have out there. I'm not, you know, I'm also paying attention to certain dynamics. So the labor market, overall, I think it's strong and has upside. And, you know, we've had 4 strai
Tyler, Quinn, is there anything you guys wanted to add in there, ask Danny further, double click on there? First
thing I wanna say is he's bringing up our our our outfits by, like, a scale of 10 wearing that crisp. Look at that crisp shirt. Wow. He usually looks like bums on here. He looks great. It's Friday morning. I'm gonna disagree with him, first thing. Love love having you on, Danny. But I will say, I think I think inflation's rolling over here, and I think it's actually gonna go lower just because not for you know, I agree it's been stickier, but I think geopolitically, like, China's slowing way faster than we think it is, which, you know, globally, I think that's gonna be a massively disinflation
I'm more in the middle and probably slightly lean with Danny. I think, I expect China to come out with more stimulus, and I expect it to sort of be enough. Like, I'm looking at, like, some of these Chinese equity charts. That is sort of worst nightmare. Sorry? I
will say, you're right. I think the fact that FXI is up today is kinda nuts.
And there's so extremely resilient for the talk of, like, disinflation and commodity land. I mean, we're supposed to have just gone through the worst growth economic growth scare in, like, 2 years, over the last 6 months and stout at 67, $70, whatever. So the worst nightmare, Mara, I think, for the fed here, because we all know what part of inflation has brought the headline number down as goods, is if there is a big stimulus on the on the Chinese front, which in my opinion, could act
