Alright. Welcome back to another episode of forward guidance. And joining me today is the shrub himself, Liz Shrub, author of the shrub stack and the renowned shrub operator. Mister Shrub, it's great to have you on the show. Finally, how are you doing? Thanks
for having me. It's a pleasure to be here, Felix. Yeah.
It's, it's wildly overdue. It's it comes at a a really great time, at least for me personally, because you've been writing this this, four part series now talking about this idea of the end of American exceptionalism and some of the big capital rotations that are implied in that idea. And this has been the big question that's been keeping me up at night right now too is is thinking through the the the mechanics of where we're going and and how much of this trend is baked in already versus how much more traction we have to go from there. So really excited to get deep into that. And, you know, f
Yeah. Sure. So, basically, you know, just to clarify. So I'm a trader, so I just see things from a trading perspective. So how we got here was a very long period of, you know, I call it American exceptionalism, but I just branded dyed what like that just to help my thinking in a way, and we'll get to how that changes. But in reality, like, everyone in the world, I say that everyone in the grandmother is long US assets, including the US dollar. And and there's a good reason for that. Things go up. So those were two very important events that, you know, Algos or Wall Street wouldn't tell you, but, you know, this if you just had an open mind, I think you could figure it out. So that that's two things. The third thing that was a mark to the end of American exceptionalism, which again, you know, people just misu

There there's a few elements. So element number one is that the Europeans, you know, me being here, I can tell you that we have very little trust in our own government, far less than any American would offer their own. So we actually don't trust the Europeans, the European politicians. So after the war in Ukraine, there were significant outflows, from Europe. So that's number one. And Europe is actually a very wealthy place. Right? So there's a lot of capital sitting here, and that was ended up going into The US, which is a deeper, more liquid market, with better opportunities. So that's numbe
bullish. Yeah.
