Hello, and welcome back to another episode of Sharp Tech. I'm Andrew Sharp, and on the other line, Ben Thompson. Ben, how you doing?
Doing okay, Andrew. Well, filled with a lot of a lot of mixed emotions, which we'll get
to later. These podcasts are nothing if not publicly recorded therapy sessions for you.
Yeah. Well, we'll just we'll just put it this way. I I had a flight home from San Francisco last night that was delayed by weather. Mhmm. And, you we were on the plane and and waiting. The pod's like, I know most of you have connections. Don't worry. We have this thing called connection saver that will take care of it. Oh, boy. I'm like, oh my. I don't need to hear about this. But we'll get to that later.
Professional podcaster. A good tease for an hour from now. I'm just glad that you're not recording from, like, the middle of an airport terminal because it was touch and go for a minute there yesterday, but you did make it home. You're in the home studio ready to rock and roll here, and we got a lot of ground to cover on this episode. The big news that we'll begin with this week was that Google is raising $80,000,000,000, through a package of equity offerings, including an investment deal with Berkshire Hathaway as the company races to fund its ambitious artificial intelligence spending plans.
inflection point does not fall under the Eli five question. Okay. Let's go let's go.
Back. Basics. Okay.
Yeah. First off, Berkshire. Yeah. I just looked it up. You're right. I said Berkshire on my, on my recording of that. More retroactive embarrassment for me.
Better better rich guy than you after you big timed me on the last episode confusing Louis Vuitton with Hermes, I believe it was.
